"Our experiences of the CatchBio Celebrates meeting at SugarCity" - by Ciaran Lahive and Paola Ferero Cortes, University of St Andrews

As Marie Curie Fellows we are lucky to have the opportunity to get training in different areas, such as going to conferences, taking part in valuable collaboration, visiting prestigious scientific institutions and meeting exceptional scientists. It helps us to see the various opportunities to develop our careers and have a clear picture of what to do next.

From all the conferences we attented, Catchbio is one of the most important and successful we have been in part of.  Last November, Catchbio celebrated its 10th anniversary and organised their last conference at SugarCity, Halfweg. There we enjoyed scientific lectures, interviews with expert panels where outcomes and future plans of the consortium we discussed. We also met some colleagues and professors and discussed planned collaborations. And once again we got even more inspired by the results our great scientist have presented. Overall another great experience.
